Pastors Chris & Laura Goldsmith
Pastors Chris and Laura have been married for over 17 years, have served as assistant pastors for several years and served as missionaries in Baja California, Mexico for three years. Pastor Chris works as an Ag Mechanic during the week and Laura teaches preschool and is a real estate agent. They have four children ranging in age from 9 to 14. Chris and Laura have a heart for people. Their desire is to see people grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ, and that out of that relationship, people will reach out to the lost and hurting of our neighborhoods, communities and to the world.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God
We believe there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,
His virgin birth (Matt.1:23),
His sinless life (Heb.7:26),
His miracles (Acts 10:38),
His vicarious and atoning death (2 Cor. 5:21),
His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:4),
His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Eph. 1:20-22), and
His personal return to this earth in power and glory
We believe in creation, the test and fall of men, as recorded in Genesis; which led to his total depravity and inability to attain to righteousness(Gen. 1:1-31. 2:1; Rom. 5:12, 18).
We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Christ by His grace (Rom. 10:13-15; Titus 2:11; Eph. 2:8).
We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation (1 Cor. 12:3; John 3:5).
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (Isa. 53; 3-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).
We believe the baptism and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:15-16).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8; John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15).
“We believe marriage has been ordained by God. This church defines "marriage" as the exclusive covenantal of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate "marriage" found in this statements." (Gen. 2:24. Matt.19:4-5, 1 Cor. 7:2)
"We believe legitimate sexual relations are designed and exercised solely for within marriage. Hence, sexual activities outside of marriage including but not limited to, adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgender behavior, and the creation and/ or distribution and/ or viewing of pornography, are incompatible with the biblical witness." (Lev. 18:22,20:13; Romans 1:25-27; 1 Corithinians 6:9-10, 18; 1 Timothy 1:9-10; 1 Corinthians 7:2; 1 Thess. 4
